After gaining advice, 2 oval Papillon tables were chosen. Each 3 metres long and with an adapted frame and octagon (centrepiece in base). This to neatly integrate the necessary cabling for the new Experience room and the adjacent meeting room.

Such adjustments are perfectly possible. Each component is made by hand in local family firms.

The tabletops are a warm grey marble from Turkey. It contains beautiful golden grains. In addition, it was finished with ‘sharknose edge’ and further treated (honed) for the perfect match with the brown honeycomb and of course the proprietary PVD design lighting.

The judges praised Havani for the exceptional quality of its designs, which blend expert workmanship with the highest standard of materials. Each table is crafted with both functionally and aesthetics in mind, and all component suppliers are known for their artisanal approach, bringing distinctive character to each piece.

We offered the Oval Papillon Design Table in its smallest form – 2300 x 1250 mm – with the Spanish marble Emperador Light in our Poco Vecchio surface, finished by hand, and a shark nose edge.

Our customer specifically asked for soft tone colours combined with Black to match the lights and windows. 

We’ve encountered this customer accompanied by their architects from Laboratoiredesign, during our attendance at Maison & Objet 2020, a shared participation with the top of Belgian designers, curated by Flanders DC and WBDM.

They were looking for a 1800 x 1800 mm square table with a natural stone tabletop to put under a 1000 year old olive tree. The table needed to be elegant but also highly durable because of the high concentration of salt in the air. Luckily they came to the right brand because we are material experts and so we made the customer choose from a selection of the hardest natural stones on the planet, that have appropriate characteristics for outdoor usage.

They selected the Blue Limestone du Hainaut, a grey Belgian marble of approximately 355 million years old which displays lots of crinoids (skeletons of old marine animals).

The breathtaking view on the Es Vedrà, one of the most magical spots on Ibiza together with Atlantis, finishes this project with a bang. The pictures further resemble the scope of this magnificent realization.

Inspired by his father, who worked in the natural stone industry for a long time, and his own love and knowledge of natural materials, Frédéric Haven launched his design label HAVANI in 2020. Under this brand, he has launched two exquisite models for indoor and outdoor use: the rectangular Marcello and the oval Papillon.

For the production of the made-to-order tables, which on average require more than twenty hours of manual labour, he joins forces with local Belgian family businesses.

The Marcello table is available in 4 different types of steel and 67 powder coating colors, this unique frame with its 1 cm thin and elegant legs, can reach lengths up to 3 meters, even with a rare marble top. Marble stone slabs are often available from 230 cm length to 270, but almost never up to 3 meters. The prolongued tabletop design of the Marcello solves this problem. The quarterround edge finish flows almost seamlessly from frame into tabletop and guarantees a very comfortable position for users’ forearms.

The Marcello table is 100% made in Belgium by local family companies that specialize in the materials individually.

Our Papillon table feels completely at home in this contemporary concept designed within a classic setting. The timeless design of the distinctive Papillon tabletop effortlessly knits both styles together as a new centerpiece in the room.

This stainless steel Marcello design table with bluestone marble top, was delivered personally to a gorgeous coastal residence in the deep south of France, Sanary-sur-Mer.

Up to 10 people can now enjoy the many fossiles inside this table top whilst wining and dining with the beautiful Mediterranean sea as a backdrop. A perfect fit for this very high-end and classy setting.
